ALEX MITA

 

Born in Cyprus, Alex began working as a reporter for the Cyprus Mail newspaper in 2001, and has covered assignments for the Irish Independent, the Daily Record and the Sunday Mail (UK). In July 2006, Alex was hired by AFP’s Middle East Bureau. His pictures have been published in media giants like the Guardian, the New York Times, Daily Telegraph, Stern, Le Monde and other. Alex completed his MA in Photojournalism at the University of Westminster in 2008 and has developed and delivered a workshop in Photojournalism and Street Photography at the London School of Photography for over 4 years, also teaching Digital Photography for beginners on a daily basis. He now divides his time between working for Jornal da Cidade in Bauru, the World Photo School and his freelance work.
